The LC adapters from OFS feature a self-adjusting
mechanism designed to accommodate panels of thick-
ness between 1.2 to 1.7 mm (0.050 to 0.067 inches). The
LC duplex adapter occupies approximately the same space
as an SC simplex adapter, doubling the density capacity
of the equipment. Our LC Adapter is designed to work
together with the complete LC product family to offer an
optimal, high-density solution for your network.
The adapter has a square pro le and can be rotated to any of
four positions in the panel. It is available in single-mode,
multimode, simplex and duplex options. LC adapters can
mount in panels designed to t the 5 inch, 7 inch, and 9
inch LGX® shelves. Two versions are available.
One option is a low pro le LC single-mode duplex adapter
that ts the opening of an SC simplex adapter. It ts panels
of thickness between 1.2 to 1.7 mm (0.050 to 0.067 inches).
A similar low pro le LC single-mode duplex adapter is
available for printed wiring board use where the adapter is
simply pressed into holes provided on the board.
The adapters meet GR-326-CORE as well as
ANSI/EIA/TIA and IEC standards.
