The hypotenuse face of one prism contains the beamsplitting coating. A small dot on the ground side of the prism indicates which prism has the beamsplitting coating. $ Dielectric hybrid coating is relatively insensitive to polarization; the broadband, all-dielectric coating is sensitive to polarization.
